Is counselling for me?
You may be considering counselling for many different reasons. It could be that difficult feelings and experiences have become too much to cope with, that your relationships or other aspects of life are in crisis, or that you experienced childhood abuse and trauma and are looking for a safe place to explore this.
How often will we meet?
I encourage weekly attendance because it provides the best conditions to allow us to work through your difficulties.
How much does it cost?
The initial assessment and each session that follows will cost £40–£45, but concessions are also available in some circumstances.
How long will each session be?
Each session will last 50 minutes.
How long will I need to attend counselling?
I can provide short or long term counselling. This could mean just a few weeks, months or longer. We will work together to decide but you are the best judge of how long you need.
Is the counselling and any information I share confidential?
I feel that confidentially is essential in counselling and we would discuss the terms of this together during our first meeting. I hope that this will help you to feel confident and safe about what you share. I’m interested.
What do I do next?
You might be feeling unsure of how to take the first step into the unknown. For you, that first step could be to make contact and we will take it from there. You can call me for an initial chat by phone, or fill in the contact form and I will respond as soon as I can.
